Considering the scope and type of the surgical procedures there are several manners to categorize rhinoplasty.
Experience so far has shown that our patients mostly opt for the so-called full rhinoplasty, the main reasons being of an aesthetic nature (increased dorsal/nose hump, correction of the tip of the nose), as well as the breathing disturbances (“blocked nose”) that can be completely eliminated.
In the case of a pronounced dorsal hump which distorts the proportion of your face the intervention is based on the scraping and separating the nasal bone from the cartilage to the desired appearance. It is of utmost importance to point out that by using fine and precise surgical instruments, a discrete, practically invisible scar remains in the area of nose tissue after the intervention.
On the other hand, in case of the lack of it, cartilage can be replaced with other parts from the body (ears or deeper inside the nose), while the implants were used for the bone replacement.
For the entire rhinoplasty procedure, which is briefly analysed, total anesthesia is necessary and the operation lasts mainly 1 hour and 30 minutes. The team of doctors we work with operate in a fully accredited operating rooms and with the most modern equipment.
